This is a form of Chalcedony. A variety of the silica mineral quartz that contains opaque, dark-coloured inclusions whose branching forms resemble ferns, moss, or other vegetation.
The gardeners stone. Traditionally, it's been considered a good stone for people involved in botany or agriculture, and many people feel that it can be used to establish a connection with nature spirits.
